Benzodiazepines, often referred to as benzos, are among the most challenging psychiatric medications to taper off due to the risk of withdrawal symptoms. TaperClinic specializes in helping patients taper off benzos such as:
Xanax (Alprazolam)
Klonopin (Clonazepam)
Ativan (Lorazepam)
Valium (Diazepam)
Temazepam (Restoril)
Librium (Chlordiazepoxide)
Etizolam (not FDA-approved in the U.S. but often purchased online)
Our tapering approach for benzos is personalized to your unique situation, allowing for flexibility and adjustments based on your withdrawal symptoms and progress. The goal is to minimize the risk of severe withdrawal effects like anxiety, tremors, and neurological disruptions by providing you with the right tools and support throughout your taper.
Tapering off antidepressants can be a long and delicate process, particularly for patients who have been on these medications for many years. At TaperClinic, we help patients taper off various types of antidepressants, including:

Lexapro (Escitalopram)
Prozac (Fluoxetine)
Celexa (Citalopram)
Paxil (Paroxetine)
Luvox (Fluvoxamine)
SNRIs (Serotonin-Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitors):
Effexor (Venlafaxine)
Cymbalta (Duloxetine)
Pristiq (Desvenlafaxine)
TCAs (Tricyclic Antidepressants):

At TaperClinic, we tailor the tapering process for antidepressants to minimize withdrawal symptoms, such as “brain zaps,” dizziness, and mood changes. You’ll receive consistent support through virtual consultations and access to an exclusive online community where you can share experiences with others who are also tapering off psychiatric medications.
Tapering off mood stabilizers and antipsychotics can be particularly challenging, especially for patients managing bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or related conditions. At TaperClinic, we provide careful tapering support for the following medications:

Antipsychotics:

Zyprexa (Olanzapine)
Seroquel (Quetiapine)
Haldol (Haloperidol)
Abilify (Aripiprazole)

We also support patients who are tapering off long-acting injectable antipsychotics, including Invega Sustenna, Abilify Maintena, and Risperdal Consta. Our goal is to ensure that your mental health remains stable while tapering off these medications.
Stimulants, commonly prescribed for ADHD and other conditions, can also pose challenges when discontinuing use, especially after long-term treatment. TaperClinic helps patients safely taper off the following stimulants:

Stimulant tapering is essential to avoid symptoms such as fatigue, depression, and difficulty concentrating. Our personalized stimulant tapering plans help ensure a smooth transition, reducing the likelihood of withdrawal effects while supporting mental and physical well-being throughout the process.

Tapering takes time. That’s why our programs support you for an entire year, not just
a few weeks. Our 12-month program costs about the same as a 2-month inpatient
detox, except you get year-long care at home. The Drug Tapering Program is $30,000
to $35,000. The Concierge Program starts at $45,000 per year
If you need more time after the 12-month period, we’ll continue working with you on a month-to-month basis. If you finish early, we prorate your contract and facilitate a smooth transition back to your primary doctor.
We are not in-network with any insurance carriers, so care is out of pocket. However, we provide superbills that you may submit to your insurer for possible partial reimbursement. Our common CPT codes are 99213, 99211, and 90792.
Withdrawal from psychiatric medications—especially for those in protracted withdrawal—can be a complex and unpredictable process, one that unfolds differently for each individual. While we bring deep expertise and a personalized approach to every case, the healing journey can take unexpected turns, and outcomes may vary. Rather than making blanket promises, we focus on honest conversations, thoughtful planning, and responsive support at every step. That said, we carefully select patients we believe we can genuinely help. During your initial exploration call, we’ll talk openly about your history, goals, and what a realistic outcome might look like.
We do not offer any one-off consultations. Instead, we devote our full attention and resources to long-term program patients who want a dedicated team by their side throughout the entire process, ensuring they achieve their desired results.
