Mental Health Coach / Therapist

You became a therapist to help people truly heal. But many systems make that hard. Caseloads are high. Sessions are rushed. The focus is on billable hours, not real outcomes. Much of the work is crisis management — keeping people afloat instead of helping them rebuild their lives.

You may also feel frustrated watching patients cycle through medications without a clear long-term plan. Therapists and prescribers often work in silos, with little time for true collaboration. Over time, that gap between the care you want to give and the care you’re allowed to give can lead to burnout.

TaperClinic was built to change that.

We are a medically led, team-based practice focused on helping patients safely reduce psychiatric medications while rebuilding resilience, nervous system stability, and practical life skills. Our clinicians work closely together. You’ll have time to think, consult, and follow patients with continuity. The goal is not just stabilization — it’s real recovery.

If you want to practice in a setting where depth, collaboration, and long-term outcomes matter more than volume, we’d love to meet you.

Role Overview

The Mental Health Coach works closely with our prescribing clinicians to help patients understand and manage their emotions. This is a coaching-focused role that emphasizes practical skills while maintaining clear professional boundaries.

You will use approaches like DBT, ACT, and mindfulness to teach tools patients can apply in daily life. Many are navigating medication tapering, withdrawal, nervous system dysregulation, or major stress. They need education, reassurance, and steady guidance.

This role is less about diagnosis and more about teaching skills, reducing fear, reinforcing progress, and helping patients move forward. You will lead group sessions in our structured taper program and provide individual support in our Concierge program, working in close collaboration with our medical team.
